CID Arrests Abhat Tiwary’s Wife and Brother in JPSC-JSSC Exam Fraud Case

Ranchi: The CID has taken major action in the alleged competitive examination fraud case, arresting the wife and brother of Abhay Tiwari, a former marketing manager of examination agency TDPL. Both have been accused of allegedly securing success in the JPSC and JSSC-CGL examinations through illegal means.
Abhay Tiwari, who is considered a key figure in the investigation into alleged irregularities in examinations conducted by TDPL, has already been arrested and sent to jail.
The latest arrests have widened the investigation into the alleged examination racket. The arrested persons have been identified as Abhay Tiwari’s wife and his brother, Akshay Tiwari. Investigators are examining their examination records and their alleged links with Abhay Tiwari and the examination agency.
According to the investigation, both had reportedly cleared the JSSC-CGL examination and secured government jobs. They are also stated to have been successful in JPSC examinations. The investigating agency is now probing whether their selection was linked to the alleged examination irregularities.
The CID probe has already brought several TDPL-conducted examinations under scrutiny. Investigators are examining alleged irregularities in the JSSC PGTTCE examination as well as the computer-based PGT teacher recruitment examination conducted for 3,120 posts.
The investigation gained further momentum after the CID conducted a search at the JSSC office. The state Cabinet subsequently decided to cancel the JSSC-CGL examination and other examinations conducted by TDPL following indications of irregularities in the probe by the SIT and CID.
The arrest of Abhay Tiwari’s wife and brother is expected to help investigators establish the alleged network involved in the examination irregularities. The CID is also likely to examine their recruitment records, examination performance and financial and communication links as part of the ongoing investigation.
Further details regarding the allegations and the evidence against the two arrested persons are awaited from the investigating agency.
