Over 8,500 Youth Submit Suggestions for Reform of Jharkhand Recruitment Exams

Ranchi: More than 8,500 young people from across Jharkhand have submitted suggestions for improving the state’s recruitment examination system under the government’s “Students’ Voice – With Students” campaign.
The suggestions, received through the campaign portal, cover a wide range of issues, including OMR sheets, examination calendars, scorecards, question papers, transparency in the examination process and greater use of technology. Young people have also shared recommendations on necessary reforms in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) within the existing constitutional and legal framework.
The government said the objective of the initiative is not merely to identify and discuss problems but to address the challenges facing candidates and build a recruitment examination system that is more transparent, fair, secure, reliable and accountable for both the present and future generations.
The government has appealed to all young people in Jharkhand to continue submitting their suggestions through the campaign. It said every suggestion could play a role in improving the examination system and contribute to a better future for thousands and lakhs of young people in the state.
The initiative also seeks to make examination reform a participatory process rather than an exercise undertaken solely by the government. The government said the proposed reforms would be shaped with the active involvement of students and young people, whose experiences and suggestions can help identify gaps in the existing system.
The campaign comes at a time when recruitment examinations conducted by JPSC and JSSC have faced concerns and protests from students over transparency, examination procedures and alleged irregularities.
The government said the participation of young people would be crucial in creating a recruitment system that inspires greater confidence among candidates and ensures a fair and credible process for future examinations.
