PVUNL’s Community Development Initiative: Beautification of Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Memorial Complex Inaugurated by MLA Roshan Lal Choudhary

The 39th death anniversary of prominent Jharkhand leader and martyr Nirmal Mahto was observed at the Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Memorial Complex near the PTPS Post Office in Patratu.

The occasion also marked the formal inauguration of the beautification and renovation work carried out at the memorial complex by Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL) under its community development initiatives.

Barkagaon MLA Roshan Lal Choudhary, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the renovated memorial complex in the presence of public representatives, PVUNL officials, social workers and local residents.

Among those present were MP representative Radheshyam Agrawal, Zila Parishad member and MP representative Rajaram Prajapati, PVUNL CGM (O&M) Manish Khetrapal, GM (Project Construction) B.D. Das, HOHR Ziaur Rahman, AGM (Civil Construction) Shirish Kumar Barkul and DGM (Civil Construction) Amit Ranjan, along with other PVUNL officials and dignitaries.

The programme also included a tree plantation drive at the memorial premises, in which Choudhary and other dignitaries participated. Schoolgirls welcomed the guests with sandalwood marks on their foreheads and flower petals.

The dignitaries and members of the gathering paid floral tributes to Nirmal Mahto and recalled his contribution to Jharkhand and its people. Those present also pledged to uphold his ideals and work towards the welfare and development of society.

Addressing the gathering, Roshan Lal Choudhary described Nirmal Mahto as a prominent mass leader who dedicated his life to protecting the identity, rights and dignity of Jharkhand.

He said Mahto’s struggle, sacrifice and contribution would continue to inspire future generations.

Choudhary said the vision of Jharkhand associated with Nirmal Mahto could be realised only through collective efforts focused on public welfare and by following the principles for which the late leader stood.

He added that working for the welfare of society would be the most meaningful tribute to Nirmal Mahto’s legacy.
