

Patratu: The 39th Martyrdom Day of the legendary Jharkhand leader and martyr, Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Ji, was observed with reverence and respect today at the Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Memorial Complex near PTPS Post Office.
On this occasion, the beautification and renovation work of the Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Memorial Complex, undertaken by Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL) under its Community Development initiatives, was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri Roshan Lal Choudhary, MLA, Barkagaon Assembly Constituency.
The programme was attended by Shri Radheshyam Agrawal, MP Representative; Shri Rajaram Prajapati, Zila Parishad Member-cum-MP Representative; Shri Manish Khetrapal, CGM (O&M), PVUNL; Shri B.D. Das, GM (Project Construction); Shri Ziaur Rahman, HOHR; Shri Shirish Kumar Barkul, AGM (Civil Construction); Shri Amit Ranjan, DGM (Civil Construction), along with other PVUNL officials, public representatives, social workers and distinguished citizens.
As part of the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Guest along with other dignitaries also participated in a tree plantation drive at the memorial premises. Schoolgirls welcomed the dignitaries by applying sandalwood tilak and showering flower petals.
The dignitaries and members of the gathering paid floral tributes to Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Ji and remembered his invaluable contribution to the state of Jharkhand. They also took a pledge to carry forward his ideals and vision for the welfare and development of society.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Roshan Lal Choudhary, MLA, Barkagaon, said that Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Ji was a great mass leader who dedicated his life to the identity, rights and dignity of Jharkhand. His struggle, sacrifice and contribution will continue to inspire generations to come.
He further stated that building a Jharkhand envisioned by Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Ji requires collective efforts towards public welfare while following his ideals and principles. Working for the betterment of society, he said, would be the true tribute to his legacy.
