The valedictory ceremony of the PVUNL-sponsored four-month residential Transformer Repair & Maintenance Training Programme was held with great enthusiasm at JNTVTI, Jamshedpur. The programme was graced by Chief Executive Officer (CEO), PVUNL, Shri Ashok Kumar Sehgal, who presented certificates to the successful trainees and congratulated them on successfully completing the programme.
Under this initiative, 20 youth volunteers from nearby villages were selected and sponsored by PVUNL for the residential training programme. During the four-month training period, each trainee received a monthly stipend of ?9,000 from PVUNL. The programme concluded with the valedictory ceremony held yesterday.
The training programme was undertaken under PVUNL’s Community Development (CD) initiative with the objective of realizing the vision of the Government of Jharkhand to bridge the skill gap and strengthen the availability of skilled manpower in the field of electricity distribution and supply. PVUNL remains committed to supporting the state’s overall development and youth empowerment through similar community-centric skill development initiatives in the future.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Ashok Kumar Sehgal, CEO, PVUNL, congratulated all the trainees on successfully completing the programme. He encouraged them to utilize the knowledge and technical skills they had acquired with dedication, discipline, and integrity to build a self-reliant and successful future. He expressed confidence that the training would open new avenues for employment and self-employment while contributing to the strengthening of the power sector in the state.
The programme was also attended by Ms. Jaya Singh Panda, Chief Learning & Development and Chief Diversity Officer, Tata Steel, along with other officials and staff members of JNTVTI.
Representing PVUNL, Head of Human Resources (HOHR), Shri Ziaur Rahman, along with Shri Kothamasu Suresh, Shri Amar Dayal Singh, and Shri Santosh Kumar Singh, also participated in the valedictory ceremony.
