IIIT Ranchi, IASE Hold Outreach Programme on NEP 2020 to Advance Vision of Viksit Bharat@2047


Ranchi: The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi, in collaboration with the Government Teachers' Training College (IASE), Ranchi, organised an outreach programme on "NEP 2020: Education for Viksit Bharat@2047" as part of the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam (ABSS) 2026.

The programme was held under the guidance of Prof. Rajeev Srivastava, Director of IIIT Ranchi, and focused on the transformative vision and effective implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Faculty members from IIIT Ranchi, including Dr. Gaurav Sundaram, Dr. Rajesh Dwivedi, Dr. Ankita Kumari, Dr. Noopur, and Dr. N. Kishore Babu, delivered presentations highlighting the key reforms proposed under NEP 2020. They discussed the importance of multidisciplinary education, innovation, research, skill development, and the expanding role of higher education institutions in achieving the national goal of Viksit Bharat@2047.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Rajeev Srivastava described NEP 2020 as a transformative roadmap for creating an inclusive, multidisciplinary, and future-ready education system. He urged educators, researchers and students to embrace innovation, collaboration and lifelong learning to contribute meaningfully towards India's development journey and the vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students and academic stakeholders, who engaged in interactive discussions on the role of education in nation-building. The event provided a platform for exchanging ideas on how educational institutions can effectively implement NEP 2020 and strengthen India's human resource capacity to achieve the objectives of Viksit Bharat@2047.
