
Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Ballari District Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a joint business meeting held at the Chamber Bhawan to strengthen trade, investment and industrial cooperation between Jharkhand and Karnataka.
The meeting was attended by Jharkhand Industry Secretary Arwa Rajkamal and Industry Director Vishal Sagar along with representatives from industries and trade bodies of both states. Detailed discussions were held on business ideas, investment opportunities, industrial collaboration and expansion of trade relations.
Welcoming the delegation from Karnataka, Chamber General Secretary Rohit Agrawal said the meeting marked the beginning of a new chapter in industrial, tourism and business cooperation between the two states. He said direct interaction between entrepreneurs from Jharkhand and Karnataka would further strengthen trade relations and pave the way for joint business delegations, B2B meetings and investment activities.
FJCCI President Aditya Malhotra highlighted Jharkhand’s growing industrial potential and said the state is entering a new phase of industrial development. He stated that Jharkhand’s textile policy is highly attractive and a new industrial policy will soon be introduced to provide better opportunities for investors. He also emphasized that Jharkhand is rich in minerals such as lithium, manganese and bauxite and has abundant power supply and skilled manpower. He pointed out opportunities in sectors including spices, vegetables, cotton, rice mills, real estate and exports.
Industry Director Vishal Sagar invited entrepreneurs from Karnataka to invest in Jharkhand and said the state government is committed to industrial growth and employment generation. He noted that Jharkhand recently participated in the World Economic Forum at Davos for the first time under the leadership of Hemant Soren.
Industry Secretary Arwa Rajkamal said Jharkhand has immense industrial strength and ample opportunities for collaboration with Karnataka, especially in mining, manufacturing and IT sectors. He added that tourism and infrastructure sectors are also expanding rapidly in the state.
President of the Ballari Chamber Avvaru Manjunath invited Jharkhand entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities in Karnataka and also invited the Jharkhand Chamber to participate in an upcoming MSME conclave in Bengaluru. During the meeting, entrepreneurs from both states exchanged business ideas and explored possibilities for future partnerships.
