Peaceful elections on three Lok Sabha seats is victory of democracy over Maoists: Mangal Pandey

Ranchi: Lok Sabha polls in charge for Jharkhand BJP Mangal Pandey said that peaceful conclusion of three elections on Palamu, Chatra and Lohardaga seats was a victory of democracy over Maoism and terrorism.

He said that the manner in which the voters including the women and youth turned up at the polling centers and registered more than 63 percent turn out was an excellent indication for the democracy.

He said that not a single incident of violence on these three seats is an example that the state government has wiped out the Maoist to a large extent from the state as some years ago Maoists were on their height of power as not only they use to call for poll boycott but also use to inflict atrocities on the voters.

Mr Pandey said that after the Maoists have been driven out the development has gathered pace in the state and people were now getting the benefits and even women are lining up to vote for Prime Minister Modi who provided them with toilets and gas connections.
