Thrilling Start to DPL Season 13, Wins for Black Royals and Blue Rockers

Deoghar:The 13th edition of the Hotel Ekta International DPL began with exciting matches at K K Stadium. In the opening game, Black Royals faced Pink Panther and chose to bat first after winning the toss. The team scored 156 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.Raj was the top scorer for Black Royals with 33 runs. Anil Jha added 26, Utkarsh scored 24, Parvez made 13 and Sahil Sheikh remained unbeaten on 14. For Pink Panther, Sanjeev Jha took three wickets, while Aniket and Varun Chaudhary claimed two wickets each. Gaurav Sharma picked up one wicket.
Chasing the target, Pink Panther were bowled out for 126 runs in 19.5 overs. Gaurav Sharma scored 35 runs, Sanjeev Jha added 22 and Satya Jagat contributed 16. For Black Royals, Sachin Singh took three wickets, while Parvez grabbed two. Sumant, Sudhanshu and Sahil took one wicket each. Sachin Singh was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
Blue Rockers Win Second Match
In the second match, Blue Rockers played against Brown Bears. After winning the toss, Blue Rockers opted to bat first and scored 151 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Raghav Sharan led the innings with 53 runs, while Utkarsh scored 32 and Monu Singh added 24.
For Brown Bears, Kuldeep, Shivam Kumar and Abhishek Kumar took two wickets each, while Vikram picked up one.In reply, Brown Bears managed 141 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 10 runs. Shubham Kumar remained unbeaten on 54, while Satyam and Manik scored 21 runs each and Sunil added 16. For Blue Rockers, Abhay took three wickets, Bhaskar claimed two and Manish took one. Raghav Sharan was awarded Player of the Match for his half-century.The Player of the Match awards were presented by association officials. In the first match, the umpires were Abhishek Anand and Nunu Singh, while the second match was officiated by Nunu Singh and Manna Singh. Rajesh Kumar served as TV umpire, while Sonu Gupta and Abhishek Bhokta handled scoring duties.
The next match will be played between Blue Rockers and Pink Panther at 1 PM.
Grand Reception for Women’s U-15 Champions
The Deoghar Cricket Association also organized a grand reception for the state champion Women’s Under-15 team from Jasidih station to K K Stadium. Team captain Jaymala Kumari handed over the winning trophy to secretary Vijay Shah. The players were felicitated with bouquets in the presence of association officials and members.
