
Deoghar: A committee meeting regarding the recruitment of chowkidars and home guards was held at the Collectorate on Thursday under the chairmanship of DC Naman Priyesh Lakra. The meeting reviewed the progress made so far in the direct recruitment process for vacant posts, and necessary directions were issued to the concerned officials.The DC emphasized ensuring transparency and proper management throughout the recruitment process. Clear timelines were fixed for key stages such as application handling, scrutiny, and physical verification. Officials were instructed to complete every phase within the stipulated time to avoid delays and maintain fairness.
To make the physical efficiency tests more accurate and transparent, the use of RFID technology was directed. This system will digitally record candidates’ performance in running and other physical activities, reducing the chances of errors and disputes.
It was also informed that the process to fill vacant chowkidar posts in the district is underway. Under Advertisement No. 01/2024, notification has already been issued for filling backlog vacancies through direct recruitment. The process is being carried out in compliance with the directions of the High Court.
Further, officials were directed to ensure timely completion of all preparations related to conducting physical and written examinations in a fair environment. From receiving applications to final selection, the entire process is to be conducted in a systematic manner.The meeting was attended by the Deputy Development Commissioner, Additional Collector, Sub-Divisional Officer Madhupur, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, District Transport Officer, District Welfare Officer, Home Guard Commandant, and other officials from concerned departments.
