Two minors die after ingesting poisonous substance in Lohardaga

Ranchi: A heartbreaking incident has come to light in the Heeri Hari Toli area of Lohardaga's Sadar police station jurisdiction. Two minor children died after ingesting a poisonous substance. The incident is reported to have occurred late on the night of May 8. The deceased children have been identified as 13-year-old Hamraj Oraon and 12-year-old Abhishek Oraon.

According to family members, both children were sleeping in the same room around 9 PM. After some time, other children in the house reported that their condition suddenly deteriorated. When the family checked, they found foam coming from the children's mouths. Panicked, they rushed them to the Lohardaga Sadar Hospital, where after initial treatment, doctors referred them to RIMS, Ranchi. However, before they could be taken to RIMS, Abhishek passed away, and Hamraj succumbed to his injuries on the way to Ranchi.
