BJP suffered dip in seats as well as vote share in Assembly polls

Yojana promised ?2100 per month. There was also the promise of providing gas cylinders for ?500, but this didn’t align with the rates in BJP-ruled states, where gas cylinder prices varied. Moreover, issues like illegal Bangladeshi infiltration and corruption failed to make an impact in the elections.

BJP also saw a decline in its vote percentage. In this election, the party secured 33.18% of the votes, compared to 33.37% in 2019. In 2014, the party had received 31.26% of the votes. The drop in vote share and internal factors collectively contributed to BJP’s disappointing performance in the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly elections.
