Gangster Aman Sahu acquitted in absconding case from Barkagaon police station

Ranchi: Gangster Aman Sahu has been acquitted in the famous absconding case from Barkagaon police station. Gangster Aman Sahu, lodged in Central Jail Palamu, was produced in the court of Hazaribagh Chief Judicial Magistrate on Saturday through video conferencing.

The court acquitted Aman due to lack of evidence in Barkagaon police station case number – 169/19. The case was related to a fatal attack on policemen while they were in police custody in Barkagaon police station and absconding. However, cases are still pending against Aman in many districts of the state, the hearing of which is going on.

Public prosecutor on behalf of the government and senior advocate Saurabh Pandey on behalf of the defense side. On 24 September 2019, Aman Sahu was arrested by Hazaribagh police from Ramgarh jail gate. No case was registered against Aman. He was released on bail. He was detained for questioning in the case of murder of a JMM leader in the Urimari police station area of Hazaribagh.

Meanwhile, on the night of 28-29 September 2019, Aman Sahu had escaped from Barkagaon police station in a dramatic manner.
