Hemant Soren's case listed for hearing in Supreme Court, hearing on April 29

Ranchi : The petition of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accused of money laundering through land scam, has been listed for hearing in the Supreme Court.

According to the Supreme Court website, the apex court can hear his case on April 29.

This case has been listed in the court of Supreme Court judges Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutta.

Actually, Hemant Soren has filed a criminal SLP (Special Leave Petition) in the apex court through his advocate.

Hemant Soren has appealed to the court in his petition that while hearing the petition filed on his behalf, the Jharkhand High Court had reserved its decision on February 28.

Even after almost 55 days have passed since reserving the verdict, the High Court has not yet given its verdict.

The jailed former Chief Minister has also approached the trial court for his bail. Hearing on which is to be held on May 1.

Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Bhanu Pratap, a light employee of Bargain area, are currently in judicial custody in Birsa Munda Central Jail.

After resigning, Hemant Soren was arrested on the night of 31 January in a money laundering case.

Officers Ali, Antu Tirkey, Priyaranjan Sahay, Vipin Singh and Irshad have also been arrested in the same case.
