Ranchi/Sahebgunj : Police recovered a huge quantity of illegal liquor. It was to be sent to Bihar for the Lok Sabha elections. On the basis of secret information received by SP Kumar Gaurav, the police team took action on Friday and recovered 726 liters of illegal liquor from Mofussil police station area. Apart from liquor, the police also recovered a boat and a generator.
In this case, the police have arrested one accused and sent him to judicial custody. The police is considering the recovery of this huge consignment of liquor before the Lok Sabha elections as a big success.
According to sources, the liquor mafia was trying to sell this liquor in Bihar before the Lok Sabha elections. Police suspect that many mafias from Jharkhand, Bihar and Punjab may be involved in this business. At present the police are investigating at all points.
