Violent clash between two groups of prisoners in Dhanbad jail, four injured

Dhanbad: Suddenly on Sunday afternoon in Dhanbad Divisional jail a crazy bell rang and this bell rang eight times. On hearing the sound of the bell, the police personnel deployed in the jail became active as this bell had rang after a violent clash between two groups of prisoners. 

Several prisoners were also injured in the violent clash between the two groups. As soon as the information was received, DSP Head Quarter Number One Amar Kumar Pandey, DSP Law and Order Arvind Sinha, SDO Prem Kumar Tiwari and other senior officers along with the team reached the jail. In fact, around one o’clock on Sunday afternoon, a fierce fight broke out between two groups inside the prison. 

As soon as the information about the fight was received, the jail administration rang the bell. Meanwhile, the district administration was informed about this and police personnel were also called on the spot. As soon as the information was received, DSP Head Quarter Number One, DSP Law and Order and SDO reached the spot.

The incident was brought under control after the officers arrived. According to the information received so far there was tension inside the jail but the situation was under control. About 150 police personnel are deployed inside the jail. According to SDO Prem Kumar Tiwari, three to four prisoners were injured in the violent clash. The matter is under investigation. 

Sanjeev Singh of Dhanbad is also lodged in the same jail in the Mandal Jail of Dhanbad where the fight took place between the prisoners. Sanjeev Singh is the former MLA of Jharia. He is in jail for the murder of Neeraj Singh, former deputy mayor of Dhanbad. 

According to jail sources, the incident of fight took place between gangster Prince Khan’s brother Godwin Bunty and supporters of Sanjeev Singh. However, its official confirmation is yet to be made.
