JeGras bags Award of Recognition at the 20th Computer Society of India (CSI), Special Interest Group (SIG) e-Governance Awards Ceremony

Ranchi: JeGRAS - Jharkhand Electronic Government Receipt Accounting System has been given the “Award of Recognition” by the 20th Computer Society of India (CSI), Special Interest Group (SIG) e-Governance Awards at a National Workshop organized at New Delhi. 

JeGRAS has been awarded for State of the Art Integrated Technical Platform for the centralized collection of the entire tax and non-tax revenue of the Government of Jharkhand. IT Solution has been provided by the National Informatics Centre, Jharkhand for the creation of this software for the Finance Department, Government of Jharkhand.

JeGRAS portal is integrated with various banking systems (SBI/PNB/GBSS) and the e-Kuber platform of RBI for revenue collection on a real-time basis. Various payment modes like Retail and Corporate Net- Banking, Card Payments (Credit & Debit Cards), UPI, RBI eKUBER NEFT, Over the Counter (OTC) are available for revenue collection on this portal. 

The state of Jharkhand has also become one of the pioneers states to implement an e-challan system through JeGRAS for the collection of entire government revenue in online mode.

The award was received in New Delhi by Chandra Bhushan Prasad, Joint Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Jharkhand and senior functionary of National Informatics Center (NIC), Jharkhand on the instructions of the Principal Secretary, Finance Department.
