Workshop organised on 'Urban Outcome Framework 2022'

Ranchi: A workshop on Urban Outcome Framework was organized by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs at a city hotel here. The program at the regional level was hosted by Ranchi Smart City Corporation.

Several officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Smart City Mission, National Institute of Urban Affairs, Government of India participated in this workshop. Technical experts from 125 municipal bodies across the country were invited in this.

Addressing the workshop, the Director of ‘Smart City Mission’, Government of India, under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Rahul Kapoor said that the Urban Outcome Framework is a compilation of all types of surveys. This Urban Outcome Framework will be the report card of any city in itself.

Addressing the technical experts of the cities he said that you are going to develop such an ecosystem which will play an important role in the allround development of your city. The development work to be done on the basis of the ecosystem will be done for all sections of the people.

On this occasion, the Director of State Urban Development Agency, Government of Jharkhand and CEO of Ranchi Smart City Corporation Amit Kumar said that Urban Outcome Framework is an initiative of evaluation of cities. 

This initiative will play an important role in integrating the data collected from all the sectors he said adding that the plans that will be made on the basis of this integrated data will lead to all-round development of cities such as inclusive development in the fields of economy, education, energy, finance, environment, governance and ICT, health, housing, mobility, planning, security, and sanitation. He thanked the Ministry for organizing the first workshop of Urban Outcome Framework 2022 in Ranchi.
