Nidhi Khare inspects Amrit Sarovar and Mnrega Park in Bedo block

Ranchi: Additional Secretary, Ministry of Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution Government of India and Central Incharge of Aspirational District Ranchi Nidhi Khare and Deputy Development Commissioner Ranchi Vishal Sagar visited Bedo Block during which they inspected Amrit Sarovar and MNREGA Park.

Mango horticulture has been done by about 32 farmers in MNREGA Park located in Eta Panchayat Eta Childari village of Bedo block. Along with other schemes under MNREGA like the construction of dobha, irrigation well, trench, didi bari construction, many schemes are being developed in MNREGA parks. The work being done by the beneficiaries of MNREGA, income received and future plans were also discussed by her and she instructed not to use single-use plastic at any cost.

After the MNREGA Park inspection, she inspected the restoration work of the pond constructed in Khukhra Panchayat. In the year 2018, this pond has been renovated by the Land Conservation Department at a cost of 22 lakhs, which is 240 feet long, 240 feet wide and 11 feet deep. This pond holds water throughout the year and helps in the cultivation of about 22 acres.

She inquired about the facilities available by meeting the farmer of land near Mrs. Khare Talab. It was told by the farmer that ever since this pond was built, the migration has stopped. There are 18 big ponds in Khukra, out of which 5 ponds have been renovated by the land conservation department
