On Diwali night bursting firecrackers permitted from 8 to 10 PM

Ranchi: On the night of Deepawali people will be able to burn firecrackers only from 8 to 10 PM.

Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board has issued an order regarding this. Board member secretary YK Das has said in the order issued that during Diwali, Chhath, Christmas and New Year in Jharkhand, firecrackers can be burnt for only two hours. On the occasion of Chhath Mahaparv, crackers can be burnt from 6 am to 8 am in morning. The sale of firecrackers has been allowed by the board only with a noise limit of 125 decibels.

Moreover, action will be taken if the rules are not followed. The Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board has issued an order regarding Diwali, Chhath, Guruparv Christmas and New Year. Under this, firecrackers can be burnt for two hours from 8 pm to 10 pm on Deepawali and Guruparv.

On the occasion of Chhath Mahaparv, crackers can be burnt from 6 am to 8 am. People will be able to burn firecrackers from 11.55 to 12.30 midnight on Christmas and New Year’s Day. Jharkhand State Pollution Control Board in its order said that this order has been issued in the light of the order given by the NGT on December 1, 2020. The sale of firecrackers has been allowed by the board only with a noise limit of 125 decibels
