Godda: In a joint operation by the Godda and Dumka district police a can bomb weighing around 20 kilograms was recovered from Ghutipada under Sunadrpahadi Police Station area of this district. Dumka SP Y S Ramesh said that the bomb had been planted by the
Maoists to inflict damage on the security forces.
He said that following a secret tip-off search operation was conducted in the area in which the bomb was spotted. Later a team of the bomb disposal squad defused the bomb. The SP said that search operations were on
Sundarpahari area.
