Deoghar: The district police has arrested a total of nine cyber criminals from separate police station areas of Deoghar.
Breifing the press on Friday Deoghar SP Ashwini Sinha said that these cyber criminals have been arrested from Chandana and Dumaria village under Sonaraithadi and Ghormara village under Mohanpur Police Station areas.
From the arrested cyber criminals a total of 24 mobile phones 34 sim card, 18 ATM card, 12 passbook, two cheque box, 2 laptop, 2 bikes and a four wheeler and Rs 35,000 in cash have been recovered. All the arrested criminals are in the age group of 19 to 23 years.
Detailing the modus operandi he said that these cyber criminals use to pose as fake bank officials and in the name of KYC update and opening of closed ATM card use to collect sensitive information related to the bank accounts of the people and later duped the money.
