Budget session of Jharkhand assembly from Feb 26 to Mar 23, government to table budget on March 3

Ranchi: The budget session of the Jharkhand assembly will be held from February 26 from March 23 during which the state government  will present the budget for the year 2021-22  on March 3.

A decision in this regard was taken on Wednesday in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the project building here. During the entire duration of the session the house will be functional for a total of 16 days while during the remaining period different holidays will be observed.

Briefing the press after the end of the Cabinet meeting Cabinet Secretary Ajay Kumar said that a total of 45 proposals were approved in the meeting of the cabinet. 

For the candidates who will be now appearing for the JPSC exams their age limit will be counted from August 1, 2016 which was earlier fixed from 2021. Further the cabinet has also decided to end the recruitment policy which was implemented on November 20, 2018.

In an important decision the cabinet also decided to appoint IAS officer of 1986 (retired) batch of Jharkhand cadre Devendra Kumar Tiwari as the new state election commissioner . Among others the cabinet also approved necessary amendments in the Jharkhand combined civil services examination rules 2021 while it approved a proposal to constitutes a sub divisional Court in Nagar Untari of Garhwa district. The cabinet has also approved amendments in the scheme under which as per the state plan gas cylinder and cooking stove was to be supplied to the Anganwadi centres and mini anganwadi centres of the state to prepare hot nutritious food and serve them to the beneficiaries.

To encourage the people to help accident hit victims the Jharkhand Good Samaritan policy has been approved mobile on the other hand the cabinet also approved the rules for Jharkhand Tribal Advisory Council.
