Schools to open from Monday: Students to be called on basis of odd-even roll numbers

Ranchi: From Monday onwards classes of class 10th and 12tg will commence in the state during which the students will be called on the basis of odd-even roll numbers so that social distancing can be maintained.

The School Education and Literacy Department has issued necessary instructions in this regard as per which a distance of six feet has to be maintained between students and teachers.

The schools will have to put up state helpline number and local health officers numbers incase of any emergency. Further the department has suggested that students of both the classes can be called on rotation basis. In wake of matric and intermediate exams the state government has decided to open the schools.

The school management has been asked to take regular sanitisation of class rooms, railings, entry gates and toilet. Further if any child fall ills information in this regard will be immediately passed on to the administration alongwith the family members.

Students, teachers and staff inside the containment zones have not been allowed to go out unless new directions are issued. Incase of jam outside schools help of traffic police or social organisations will be taken and incase of large number of students then they will be called shift wise.

The students should come to the school with prior permission from their parents while teaching and nonteaching staff will have to remain in the schools but biometric attendance will not be allowed.

The school management will make arrangements for hand cleaning and social distancing will be maintained in laboratories and libraries however morning prayers and sports activity will not happen. In wake of winter classes can be conducted outside but in that too social distancing has to be maintained. 

Even thermal scanners will be put up at the entry gates of the schools while masks, face covers and sanitizer will have to be kept as backup in the schools while spitting is also not allowed, sharing of items among the students is not allowed.
