State exchequer became empty due to wrong policies of Hemant government: Jayant Sinha

Ranchi: Former Union Minister and Hazaribagh MP Jayant Sinha on Tuesday attacked the state government and blamed its wrong policies due to which the state exchequer had become empty.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters here he said that due to the wrong policies of the Hemant Soren government the exchequer had become empty. He said that when JMM had come to power at that time the exchequer was not empty but as the government failed to control expenses and collect revenue this situation has arisen.

He said that due to the Coronavirus pandemic expenditure in the medical Colleges was set to increase but for many months the construction of these Colleges was closed. He said that the state government was itself responsible for empty exchequer and it was a result of its lack of farsightedness and wrong policies.

He said that under the Raghubar Das government in the year 2019-20 the revenue collection was up by 29.7 percent while under FRBM Act the fiscal deficit was 2.28 percent which was under the prescribed limit of 3 percent.
