MoU signed between CCL and CIPET for residential training

Ranchi: An MoU worth Rs 2.24 Crore was signed between Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET) for the training of 320 Project Affected Persons from the operational areas of CCL under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the office of CIPET, Ranchi.

CIPET will provide six month's residential training to the selected applicants, and at the end of the training, the candidates will be provided with job placements in the various parts of the country. Central Coalfields will bear the entire cost of the training and the residential facilities.

General Manager (CSR) A K Singh from CCL and Director CIPET A K Rao inked the MOU between the companies.

Previously under an MOU with Coal India Limited, CIPET provided training to 200 candidates and about 180 of these applicants are now employed with different industries in country. 40 candidates were undergoing training before it was suspended because of Covid Pandemic.

Speaking on the occasion A K Singh said that under the leadership of CMD, CCL P M Prasad the company is committed towards the empowerment and skill training of the people of the state. He stated that every year various training programs are organized by the company for the villagers in its command areas.
