Ranchi: Decks have been cleared to release the pending salary of the 183 Madrassa teachers and other staff.
A sum of Rs 58 crore has been allocated for making the payment to the teachers and other staff of the Madrassas which was pending for the last more than three years. A high-level meeting was held in the state capital on Friday in which all the hurdles were removed.
The state cabinet had previously itself given its nod to pay the salary of the teachers and other staff however to sort out some of the issues the Chief Minister had formed a three-member committee comprising Rural Development Minister Alamgir Aalam, Education Minister Jaggarnath Mahto and JMM Sudivya Kumar.
A meeting was held at the Chamber of the education minister where it was agreed that all the necessary formalities would be completed soon after which the allocation of the funds would be sent to the districts for making the payment.
