Coal not to go out of Jharkhand if CIL fails to provide jobs: Mehta

Ranchi: State Secretary of the CPI and former Hazaribagh MP Bhuneshwar Prasad Mehta said that if Coal India does not provide jobs in return of land acquired for projects than coal would be not allowed to go outside of Jharkhand.

He said that Jharkhand produces 37 percent of the overall coal in the country but despite the fact, the central government was planning to handover coal blocks in private hands while the conspiracy was being also hatched to close the ongoing mines.

Mehta said that the left parties along with social organisations would launch a major agitation against the central government. He said that farmers were being attacked on the state and on throw away prices their land was being acquired while in the name of giving employment the company was just making excuses which would not be tolerated.
