Varun Dhawan Calls ‘Wow’ His Birthday Anthem as New Track Drops

Mumbai — Actor Varun Dhawan marked his 39th birthday by celebrating the release of “Wow,” a high-energy track from his upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona, calling it his personal “birthday jam.”

Sharing a glimpse of the song on social media, Varun expressed excitement and gratitude, describing the track as a perfect way to mark his special day. The film is slated for a theatrical release on May 22, 2026.

“Wow” is an upbeat dance number featuring vocals by Harrdy Sandhu and Kiran Bajwa. The composition is helmed by Tanishk Bagchi along with Rony Ajnali and Gill Machhrai, who also penned the lyrics.

Harrdy Sandhu described the track as instantly engaging, saying it carries a spark that makes listeners feel its energy from the first beat. Kiran Bajwa highlighted its playful and vibrant tone, calling it bold, catchy, and ideal for letting loose.

Tanishk Bagchi noted that the goal was to create a contemporary and irresistible sound designed to get people moving, while Rony and Gill emphasized crafting lyrics that are simple, memorable, and full of energy—making the song a potential party anthem.

Producer Kumar Taurani of Tips Music praised the collaborative effort behind the track, adding that the presence of Varun alongside co-stars Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde enhances its visual appeal and completes the overall experience.
