Suzanne Bernert Questions Deepika Padukone Over Silence on Ranveer Singh’s Film

Mumbai: Actress Suzanne Bernert has publicly called out Deepika Padukone for what she sees as a lack of open support for her husband Ranveer Singh and his film Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge.

Suzanne, known for her role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, took to social media to express her thoughts. Addressing Deepika directly, she wrote that watching the film early was “not a flex” and added that fans are still waiting for her to openly praise her husband’s work.

The remark comes after Deepika recently responded to criticism over her silence during the film’s promotions. Commenting on a social media post that questioned her absence, Deepika stated that her silence was intentional and revealed that she had already watched the film before its public release, adding a sharp response to critics.

Her lack of visible support during the film’s campaign had sparked online debate, especially since Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has been described as one of the biggest hits in recent times. The discussion intensified when she skipped the film’s special screening but was later seen attending a concert in Mumbai, drawing comparisons and criticism from social media users.

Despite the trolling, Deepika had largely stayed quiet until her recent response on Instagram, where she pushed back against claims questioning her intentions.

On the work front, Suzanne Bernert has appeared in several television shows and films, including Udaan, Sanskaar Lakshmi, and The Accidental Prime Minister. She was also married to late actor Akhil Mishra, who passed away in 2023.
