Kritika Kamra and Gaurav Kapur tie the knot, host intimate sundowner celebration

Mumbai: Actress Kritika Kamra has married Gaurav Kapur in an intimate ceremony attended by family members and close friends.

The couple chose to keep the celebrations small and personal, hosting a close-knit wedding at their home rather than opting for a grand traditional affair. Inspired by sunset tones and golden-hour hues, the ceremony reflected a warm and elegant theme.

Instead of a lavish wedding, the couple opted for a registrar wedding at home, celebrating the occasion with people closest to them.

In a joint statement, Kritika and Gaurav said, “We’ve always believed that the most meaningful moments in life are the ones shared with the people you love. As we begin this new chapter together, we’re grateful to celebrate our wedding surrounded by our families and closest friends at home in Mumbai.”

For the ceremony, Kritika wore a red Chanderi saree specially woven for her and gifted by her mother. The saree was created by her own brand, an initiative aimed at preserving the traditional dyeing art of Chanderi silk while supporting women artisans from the region.

Gaurav complemented the aesthetic of the evening in an ivory and gold traditional outfit designed by Raghavendra Rathore.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds stepped out to greet the media stationed outside their residence. While posing for photographs, their eyelines often didn’t match, prompting a light-hearted comment from Gaurav.

“Hum log ka life match ho jata hai lekin look kabhi match nahi hota (Our lives match, but our looks never match),” he joked.

The celebrations were attended by close friends from the entertainment industry and the sports fraternity, who joined the families in marking the couple’s special day.

The evening festivities were held across their Bandra home and terrace, followed by a sundowner gathering overlooking the Mumbai skyline, where guests celebrated the couple against a backdrop of golden light and music.

The newlyweds are also set to host a larger celebration on March 12.
