Rita Ora Uses Daily Mantras to Block Out Online Trolls

Mumbai: Pop star Rita Ora has revealed that she begins each day by reciting personal mantras in front of the mirror to cope with negativity on social media.

The 35-year-old singer admitted that hurtful online comments can be painful, but she consciously reminds herself that she cannot control what others say. Speaking in her Instagram series, she shared that these affirmations help her maintain perspective despite the intense scrutiny that comes with being in the public eye.

“You can’t be afraid of something you can’t control. You can’t control it, stop thinking about it. These are the mantras I say to myself every day in the mirror,” she said, adding that social media places individuals “under a definite microscope.”

Ora acknowledged that while celebrities may experience amplified attention, the emotional impact of criticism affects everyone. “Comments can cut,” she noted, emphasizing that even small remarks can feel magnified in the digital space.

Despite the challenges, the “Poison” hitmaker said self-doubt plays a constructive role in her artistry. According to her, those moments of uncertainty often contribute to writing better songs. She also stressed the importance of rehearsal and consistently refining her craft.

Her mother, Vera — a psychiatrist — reflected on Rita’s early rise to fame, stating that her primary concern has always been her daughter’s well-being. While she initially worried about the pressures of the entertainment industry, she maintains that happiness remains the most important priority.

Rita Ora made these remarks in an episode of her new Instagram series *Rita*, launched in collaboration with Meta. In a caption accompanying the episode, she urged followers to practice kindness online, reminding them that words can have a deep impact.
