Rhea Chakraborty Shares Gratitude as She Stages Comeback with New Netflix Drama

Mumbai – Actress Rhea Chakraborty is gradually rebuilding her career and personal life, marking her return to acting after a seven-year hiatus with the upcoming Netflix drama Family Business.

The Jalebi actress became emotional while returning to the film set and reflected on her journey in the entertainment industry. She recalled arriving in Mumbai at the age of 17 with aspirations of becoming an actor and acknowledged how life has come full circle as she begins a new phase in her career.

Taking to her official Instagram account, Rhea shared that despite the passage of time, she still feels connected to the dreams she carried as a teenager. She described her return as the beginning of a new chapter in her life and noted how life often unfolds differently than planned.

Rhea also expressed appreciation to director Hansal Mehta, the production team, and her co-stars Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma for supporting her during this phase of her career.

Her last film appearance was in Chehre (2021), which featured Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. Rhea’s life underwent major turmoil following the death of her former partner, actor Sushant Singh Rajput, in 2020. She was later arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in September of the same year during the investigation linked to the case.

In recent years, Rhea has appeared as a gang leader on the reality show MTV Roadies and launched her own podcast titled Chapter 2, symbolising her attempt to rebuild her professional and personal identity.

The teaser of Family Business portrays Anil Kapoor as the head of a multi-billion-dollar enterprise, with Vijay Varma playing a dedicated employee. The storyline intensifies after Kapoor’s character dismisses Varma’s character, setting the stage for a high-stakes corporate conflict.
