Sunny Leone Says ‘MTV Splitsvilla’ Has Evolved With Changing Attitudes and Modern-Day Romance

Mumbai: Actress Sunny Leone, who is set to return as host for the 16th season of MTV Splitsvilla, says the popular dating-based reality show has evolved over the years in step with changing mindsets, dating patterns and the realities of modern relationships.

Speaking at the launch of MTV Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar ya Paisa, Sunny said the show has always held a special place in her heart. “Splitsvilla reflects how love, relationships and choices evolve with every generation. Over the years, I have seen the show grow alongside changing mindsets, dating styles and the realities of modern love,” she said.

Talking about the new season’s central twist, she added, “With the ‘Pyaar ya Paisa’ theme, the stakes are higher than ever. Emotions will be tested, bonds will be challenged and surprises will come from the most unexpected places. I am truly excited to be part of this journey again and can’t wait for all the Splitspaglus to witness the drama, passion and twists from January 9 onwards.”

The new season, which premieres on January 9, will feature actor Karan Kundrra as co-host alongside Sunny Leone. Nia Sharma and Uorfi Javed will join the show as the mischief-makers, adding to the chaos and drama. A total of 32 single contestants — girls and boys — will compete for the ultimate choice between love and money, ‘Pyaar ya Paisa’.

Karan Kundrra said returning to MTV after six years feels like coming back home. “I’m extremely excited to host this season with Sunny Leone, who knows the format inside out. What intrigues me the most is seeing how contestants deal with love when money enters the equation and tests their decisions,” he said.

He further added that the presence of mischief-makers Nia and Uorfi will add an unpredictable edge to the show. “With the show airing three times a week, viewers can expect much more drama, fun and plenty of unexpected twists,” he said.

MTV Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar ya Paisa will stream on JioHotstar and air on MTV.
