Sonam Kapoor to Attend Wimbledon Gentlemen's Finals in London

Mumbai – Bollywood’s fashion icon Sonam Kapoor is all set to attend the Wimbledon Gentlemen's Finals in London, joining the ranks of celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Priyanka Chopra.

The actress will make an appearance at the prestigious tennis event this weekend.

A source revealed, “Sonam Kapoor has been associated with Wimbledon for several years now. This will be her fourth time attending the tournament, and she has a special outfit planned for the much-anticipated final.”

The source added, “Sonam is currently in London spending quality time with her husband Anand Ahuja and their son Vayu. So, it’s no surprise that she’ll be heading to the finals this weekend.”

Recently, Sonam celebrated seven years of the film Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor. To mark the occasion, she shared a cherished memory on her Instagram Stories—a clip of a scene featuring her and Ranbir, along with some behind-the-scenes footage from the film's set.

Sanju, directed and edited by Rajkumar Hirani and co-written with Abhijat Joshi, portrayed the turbulent life of Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt. It explored his struggle with drug addiction, his arrest related to the 1993 Bombay bombings, his relationship with his father, and his journey in the film industry. The movie featured Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, alongside Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, and Jim Sarbh.

Sonam returned to the screen with the 2023 crime thriller Blind, playing the role of a visually impaired ex-police officer. The film marked her comeback after a break she took following the birth of her son in 2022.

Directed by Shome Makhija, Blind also starred Shubham Saraf, Danesh Razvi, Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, Lillete Dubey, and Javed Khan. The film is a remake of the 2011 South Korean movie of the same name, originally featuring Yoo Seung-ho and Kim Ha-neul.
