Mumbai — Popular television actress Shubhangi Atre, known for her role in ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’, has opened up about why acting continues to feel like a challenge for her, despite years of experience in the industry.
Shubhangi shared that every character brings new expectations and lessons, making acting an exciting yet demanding journey. "I feel the word ‘struggle’ sounds negative, but in acting, the learning never stops. No matter how long you’ve been working, there’s always room to grow. The journey becomes more fulfilling over time, but nothing about acting is easy. Every role demands honesty and emotional depth because you’re stepping into someone else’s life,” she explained.
When asked how she stays motivated during long or exhausting shoots, Shubhangi revealed, “I remind myself why I started this journey. I genuinely love acting. On tough days, I find joy in small moments—whether it’s delivering a powerful dialogue or shooting a beautiful scene. Those moments keep me going.”
Reflecting on the influence of social media and instant audience reactions, Shubhangi admitted that feedback can be both uplifting and overwhelming. “Audience love is like fuel—it keeps you going. But I don’t let it pressurize me. I try to play every character with honesty, not to seek approval, but to remain true to the story,” she added.
Speaking about how television storytelling has evolved, Shubhangi expressed excitement over the shift toward more relatable and realistic content. “It feels like a new era for actors. Today’s roles are layered, raw, and real. I love exploring different shades of a character—it’s refreshing, bold, and thrilling,” she said.
On the work front, Shubhangi, who made her acting debut with Ekta Kapoor's ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’, has been part of several popular shows including ‘Kasturi’, ‘Do Hanson Ka Jodaa’, and ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’.
