Hindustan Copper posts record FY26 profit, revenue jumps nearly 50%

New Delhi- State-owned Hindustan Copper Limited on Friday reported a sharp 97 per cent rise in net profit for FY26, driven by higher revenue, improved operational performance and stronger copper sales.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Mines, the Miniratna PSU posted a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 920.67 crore for 2025-26, compared to Rs 468.53 crore in the previous financial year.

The company also recorded its highest-ever pre-tax profit, with Profit Before Tax (PBT) surging 95 per cent to Rs 1,232.73 crore from Rs 633.51 crore in FY25.

As per the audited financial results approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting in Kolkata on Friday, Hindustan Copper achieved record revenue from operations of Rs 3,077.92 crore during FY26, marking a strong 49 per cent year-on-year growth from Rs 2,070.96 crore in FY25.

The board also recommended a final dividend for FY26, subject to shareholder approval, in addition to the interim dividend already paid in March this year.

The company’s EBITDA margin improved significantly to 48.7 per cent in FY26 from 37.97 per cent in the previous fiscal, reflecting a rise of 10.73 percentage points.

Operationally, the PSU reported ore production of 3.67 million tonnes during FY26, registering a 6 per cent increase over the previous year.

Production of Metal in Concentrate (MIC) stood at 27,421 tonnes, up 9 per cent year-on-year, while copper MIC sales rose 12 per cent to 27,369 tonnes.

Apart from reviewing the financial performance, the Board also discussed the company’s expansion roadmap under its Corporate Plan 2030, including future funding strategies for upcoming projects.
