Denied wages for 3 months workers stop cleaning work at Ranchi railway station

Ranchi: Cleanliness work at the Ranchi Railway Station was adversely hit as the workers did not do their work protesting against the denial of their wages for the last three months.

The workers alleged that they were not given their minimum daily wages and instead efforts were on to appoint a new agency in their place over which the workers got agitated and stopped the cleaning work.

They also staged a protest outside the railway station and indulged in slogan shouting and accused the railways of exploiting the workers which was not acceptable to them.

Leader of the worker Lalit Narayan Ojha said that unless the wages are cleared of the workers no cleaning work would be allowed at the station and even if the railway administration tries to bring outside agency than it will be also
opposed.
