Economy of Jharkhand to strengthen with the development of small and cottage industries : Raghubar

Ranchi: The scheme implementation committee of micro small and medium industries ministry in its meeting has approved projects worth Rs 1105.74 lakh in the state.

The schemes which have been approved included Rs 172.83 lakh for honey cultivation and bee rearing in Lohardaga Rs 312.34 lakh for ornament building at Shukra graha in Ramgarh Rs 471.25 lakh for lac procession in Bundu of Ranchi and Rs 149.32 lakh for lac and other forest products in Gumla.

As far as the overall cost of the project is concerned 15 percent amount would be paid by the Jharkhand government and remaining by the central government and the small industrialists. Chief Minister Raghubar Das has expressed his happiness over the approval of the projects and has directed to realise them soon on the ground.

He said that promoting small Industries is a priority for the state government and the projects which have been approved would create direct employment for 2000 people and indirect employment for several thousand others and said that in the days to come in the entire state small scale industries will be expanded.

Those present in the meeting which was held in New Delhi included Union secretary of the micro small and medium Industries department Arun Kumar Panda Industries Secretary Jharkhand K Ravi Kumar Chief executive officer of Chief Minister small and Cottage industries development board Ajay Kumar Singh and others
