Hundreds of successful candidates of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (JSSC CGL) examination took to the streets in Ranchi to protest against the decision to cancel the examination.

Candidates who secured appointments in 2025 organised a Tiranga Yatra from Morabadi to Albert Ekka Chowk, carrying the national flag and raising their voices against the government's decision.

The protesters said the cancellation of the examination has created uncertainty for candidates who had already cleared the selection process and received appointments. Holding the Tricolour in their hands, many candidates expressed their anger and disappointment over the government's move.

The march began at Morabadi and proceeded towards Albert Ekka Chowk, one of Ranchi's prominent public spaces. A large number of candidates and supporters participated in the procession, drawing attention to the issue in the state capital.

Police personnel were deployed along the route to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incident during the demonstration.

The protest comes amid a wider controversy surrounding examinations conducted by the JSSC and other state recruitment bodies. The cancellation of the JSSC CGL examination has particularly affected candidates who had already completed the selection process and entered government service.

The candidates are demanding that the government reconsider its decision and protect the interests of those who were selected through the examination. Their Tiranga Yatra has added fresh momentum to the ongoing debate over recruitment examinations and the future of successful candidates in Jharkhand.
