New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a strong advisory to students and parents, warning them against submitting fake or AI-generated OMR sheets for scrutiny, saying such actions could lead to legal consequences.
The agency said it has detected several cases where OMR sheets submitted for review were found to be forged or artificially generated. As a result, all complaints are now being examined more rigorously to verify the authenticity of the documents.
In an official post on X, the NTA advised candidates to submit only original OMR sheets while seeking scrutiny of their examination records.
"Students and parents are advised to submit only original OMRs for scrutiny. Any fake or AI-generated OMR may invite legal action against the complainant," the agency said.
The warning comes amid heightened public attention on the examination system and appears aimed at preventing misuse of the scrutiny and re-evaluation process through digitally manipulated documents.
According to officials, the agency has already identified multiple suspicious submissions and is carefully verifying every complaint before taking any action on requests for rechecking.
The NTA said the growing availability of artificial intelligence tools has made it easier to create convincing fake documents, posing a new challenge to the integrity of examination processes. It stressed that any attempt to use fabricated OMR sheets to challenge examination results will be dealt with strictly under the law.
Education experts have welcomed the advisory, saying it will help safeguard the credibility of national-level examinations. The agency has urged students and parents to ensure that only genuine documents are submitted during the review process.
Reiterating its commitment to transparency and fairness, the NTA said it will continue to closely monitor complaints while taking firm action against any attempts to undermine the examination system.
