Ranchi — C. P. Radhakrishnan on Saturday called upon graduating students of Indian Institute of Management Ranchi to uphold ethical values in their professional lives, stressing that true success goes beyond financial achievements.
Addressing the institute’s 15th convocation ceremony as chief guest, he urged students to build careers rooted in character, integrity and purpose. “Success is not measured merely by financial achievements, but also by how responsibly one contributes to society,” he said.
A total of 558 students received degrees at the ceremony, while seven meritorious students were awarded medals and citations. Toppers from the 2024–26 batch across programmes — including MBA, MBA-BA, MBA-HRM and Executive MBA — were felicitated. Two students were also honoured with the Student Citizenship Award and the Prof Ashish Hajela Award.
The Vice President emphasised that ethical leadership and trust form the foundation of strong institutions. Recalling his tenure as Governor of Jharkhand, he noted that he had closely observed the institute’s growth and milestones over the years.
On the occasion, he inaugurated the country’s first B-school Virtual Reality Case Repository, developed by the institute, describing it as a significant innovation in management education.
Santosh Kumar Gangwar, who also attended the ceremony, congratulated the graduates and described the convocation as a defining moment in their lives. He encouraged them to contribute to nation-building as responsible citizens.
Praising initiatives such as the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Centre for Policy, Leadership and Governance and the Centre for Tribal Affairs, the Governor said these institutions are supporting inclusive development and good governance.
Among other dignitaries present were Harivansh Narayan Singh, Sanjay Seth, and Sudivya Kumar.
