Jharkhand Invites Applications for Free Residential Coaching for Tribal Students Preparing for NEET, JEE

Ranchi — The Jharkhand government has invited applications from Scheduled Tribe (ST) students for free residential coaching to prepare for the NEET and JEE entrance exams under the “Jharkhand Scheduled Tribe Education Upliftment Programme.”

The initiative, launched by the Department of SC, ST, Minority, and Backward Classes Welfare, seeks to help deserving tribal students pursue careers in medicine and engineering by removing financial barriers to quality education.

Under the scheme, 300 students will be selected for coaching to be held at the Multipurpose Hall-cum-Training Centre in Hindpiri, Ranchi, in collaboration with a reputed Kota-based coaching institute.

Project Director of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency, Sanjay Kumar Bhagat, hailed the initiative as a “visionary step” to ensure that tribal youth from Jharkhand have equal opportunities despite economic challenges.

Selected candidates will receive comprehensive support including expert-led classes, separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, study materials, digital tablets with e-content, access to a library, and other digital resources — all completely free of cost.

Eligibility criteria specify that applicants must be Scheduled Tribe students and permanent residents of Jharkhand. Their parents should not be employed in regular government service, and those already benefiting from similar government coaching schemes will not be eligible.

Applicants must submit essential documents such as caste certificate, Aadhaar card, recent passport-size photograph, and academic mark sheets.

Applications can be filled online at www.jharkhandshikshautthan.com
or offline via forms available at District Welfare Offices or downloadable from the same website. Offline forms must be submitted along with all required documents.

Selection will be based on document verification followed by a merit or screening test. The last date to apply is November 19.
