State youths to get training in motorcycle maintenance and repair; MoU signed between State govt. and India Yamaha Motors

Ranchi: There is no shortage of talent in Jharkhand, people just need an opportunity. The State Government is working rapidly in the direction of giving employment to youths through skill development. Famous companies like Yamaha Motor have also trusted the youth of Jharkhand. Chief Minister Raghubar Das was addressing people after the MoU between Jharkhand Skills Development Mission Society and India Yamaha Motors. He said that considering the importance of skill development, the state government has set a budget of Rs. 700 crores this year. By developing skills, we can help our youth get a good job.

The Chief Minister appealed to Yamaha Company officials to set up a motorcycle manufacturing unit in the state and said that both raw materials and human resources in Jharkhand are available in considerable quantities. At the same time, Jharkhand has historically been the industrial state of the country.

Yamaha Motors’ Deputy Managing Director, Tada Yukihiko said that in future, the company will try to set up a manufacturing unit in Jharkhand. Jharkhand's automobile policy is quite good. This will prove to be beneficial for the automobile industry.

Under the today’s agreement, the Yamaha Company will choose 12th passed and ITI passed youths. They will be given 2 years of training in maintenance and repair. This training program will be held at the company's factory located in Surajpur, Faridabad and Chennai. This course will be operated on a fully functional basis. Also short-term training programs of six months will also be conducted. The selected trainees will also be given information about office conduct, enthusiasm for work, discipline, teamwork in workplace, communication, health, sanitation, first aid and personal financial management. Stipends, accommodation etc. will also be provided to the trainees. After training, certificates will be given. In addition, job opportunities will also be provided in related business.

On the MoU letter, Ravi Ranjan, Director of Skill Mission and Yukihiko of the Company signed. Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Secretary of Skill Development Rajesh Sharma and others were present.
