Shibu Soren chaired Jharkhand Colliery Labourer Union meeting in Ranchi

Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Chief and Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren Chaired a meeting of the Jharkhand Colliery Labourer Union at State Guest House in Ranchi on Thursday. During a meeting it is decided to expand the working of the Union, displacement of labourers due to mining of Companies and to launch a membership campaign and Labour Union talks with PSUs and Corporates like Central Coalfields, BCCL, Eastern Coalfields Limited, Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), Bokaro Steel, Tata Steel, Electrosteel, ACC, Tata Motors and many other Companies were discussed. 

In the meeting, it is also discussed that a massive campaign will start in Jharkhand State for Labour Displacement and reservation of 75 % under the execution of the State Employment Policy. Earlier BJP Led Raghubar Das government passed 44 Labour Laws in which 29 Laws were in favour of private companies and capitalists in the year 2015, 2018 and 2019 that were nullified by JMM Led Hemant Soren government. In the meeting members of Union proposed minimum labour salary should be of Rupees 25000 per month.

According to ‘Equal Payment for Equal Work Policy.’ In the meeting, it was also decided that BJP led Raghubar Das government proposed a land bank for land brokers, Bureaucrats and other corrupt officials which is in the list of JMM-led state governments to make it null avoid. In the central committee meeting Vice President Mathura Prasad Mahato, Vijay Hansda, General Secretary Fagu Besra, Organisation Secretary Vinod Pandey, Shailendra Kumar and others across the Jharkhand State were present.
