Ranchi: A demonstration was held in the capital Ranchi regarding the crisis of electricity and drinking water by the Ranchi Mahanagar unit of Bharatiya Janata Party.
A large number of women workers also took part in the demonstration. Party men and workers demonstrated with candles, pitchers and dhibri in their hands. Angry party workers said that when the condition of electricity and water in the capital Ranchi is like this, then the condition of remote rural areas can be guessed.
'The situation in the city is such that now even water has to be bought for drinking. Electricity remains cut for hours in the capital. Sometimes the situation becomes such that even the inverter responds. The government should think seriously on this. If the government is not capable, then it should resign on the basis of moral grounds This Trahimam Yatra started from the district school ground at Shaheed Chowk, Ranchi.
The yatra turned into a demonstration after reaching Kutchury Chowk. Ranchi MLA CP Singh, General Secretary Subodh Singh Guddu, Pratul Nath Shahdev along with many spokespersons and workers participated in the Trahimah Yatra. On the other hand, the workers involved in the Trahimam Yatra demanded the resignation of the government in case they could not improve the system.
BJP workers highlighted about the situation of power crisis by lighting candles. On the other hand, by breaking the pitcher, the drinking water crisis was shown. BJP leaders and workers present on the occasion said that basic facilities like electricity and water are not being provided properly to the people state. The government has failed in every field.
On the occasion, the leaders said that the situation of the power crisis has worsened not only in the capital but in the entire state. The power crisis has reached to such an extent that now industries are getting affected. If this situation continues then people will have to shut down their industries. The prices will shoot up in the market
