More than 5,000 athletes to participate in Coal India Marathon on Sunday

Ranchi: More than 5,000 athletes will participate in the Coal India marathon which will be held in the capital on Sunday. The marathon event is being organized across four categories in which a total of 5714 participants have registered out of which 1035 are female while 4679 are men.

In the full marathon 403 men and 53 women are participating while in the half marathon, 492 men and 72 women will be running. In the 10-kilometer run category, 1698 males and 307 females will be participating and in the 5-kilometer race 2068 male and 603 female have done their registration. 

The full marathon will be of 42.195 kilometers while the half kilometers will be of 21.098 kilometers. The marathon will start from the Birsa Munda Football Stadium which will go to Pithoria and come back and end at the Football stadium itself.
