MLA Pradeep Yadav writes to CM to change summer timings of government schools

Ranchi: MLA Pradeep Yadav has written a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren through which he has urged him to make changes in the summer timings of the government schools in the state.

He said that instructions have been issued by the Education Department that from April 1 to June 30 the classes will be held from 7 AM in the morning to 2 PM in the afternoon which needed to be changed.

The order was issued by the department on March 15. He said that in the order it has been said that from 1 PM to 2 PM sports activities will be conducted in the schools but at that time the temperature is at a very high level.

The MLA has further written that since the classes are slated to commence from 7 AM many students come to the school empty stomachs and if someone plays in such heat then it may lead to some untoward incident.

He has suggested that in the schools the summer timings should be from 7 AM to 12 PM only which will be suitable for the academic needs of the children
