Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren welcomes newly appointed Governor of Jharkhand CP Radhakrishnan at the Birsa Munda Airport here. Radhakrishnan will take oath as the new Governor of Jharkhand in a function to be held on Saturday at the Birsa Mandap of the Raj Bhawan.
Upon his arrival at the airport, the new Governor was given a guard of honour by Jharkhand Police. Prior to that the Chief Minister gave a warm send-off to Governor Ramesh Bais who will be assuming charge of the Raj Bhawan in Maharashtra.
The Chief Minister along with senior officials of the government presented bouquets to Bais and his wife before they departed to the Western State.
The Chief Minister had also organized a farewell dinner in honour of the governor on February 15. Those who were also present at the airport included Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, DGP Ajay Kumar Singh and others.
