Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the state government is providing platforms to the players of the state and efforts are on to bring out the potential in other sports too.
The Chief Minister made these comments while interacting with the female players who had gone to the USA as part of a cultural and sports exchange program and had returned from that country. He said that the government wants to take the state forward as a sports power and as part of the new sports policy many schemes have been made for the development of the players and sports.
He said that special efforts are being made to identify the players and their skills and arrangements are being made to provide world-class training facilities to the players of Jharkhand. The Chief Minister expressed his happiness over the fact that girls from far-flung rural pockets are showcasing their skills in a country like America and the entire state is proud of its players.
He said that going by the enthusiasm of the players there was no doubt that Jharkhand will move ahead in the field of sports. The five players Pundi Saru Juhi Kumari Priyanka Kumari Henrieta Toppo and Poornima Neti met the Chief Minister and shared their experience of the US trip and also appreciated the efforts of the state government. The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to the girls for their future endeavor.
