Three Emergency Rescue Van flagged off at CCL

Ranchi: Three Emergency Rescue Van were flagged off at CCL headquarters by CMD P M Prasad during which senior officials of the company were also present. The three air-conditioned vans with a sitting capacity of seven persons are equipped with all the necessary apparatus including Fire Extinguisher, Gas Protector, etc. It has 18 breathing apparatuses along with two reviving apparatus.

Two of the emergency vans will be deployed in Mines Rescue Station, Ramgarh and one in Rescue Rooms-with-Refresher Training facilities (RRRT) in Churi Underground Mines in NK area. Speaking on the occasion CMD CCL P M Prasad stated that safety in operations is of utmost priority to the company. He further added these vehicles will bolster the same. 

Earlier in the day the CMD, CCL P M Prasad along with other officials felicitated Akanksha Kumari for becoming the first woman in the country to be trained in Mines Rescue and recovery work as per The Mines Rescue Rules, 1985. Akanksha is also the first woman mining engineer of Coal India Limited to work in underground mines.

Congratulating Akanksha he said that her achievements are a source of inspiration for everybody. He further encouraged her to keep performing to the best of her abilities and contributing in the company’s success. GM Safety RK Sinha along with his team played an important part in the success of the program.
